Organic Cotton
Conventional cotton is notoriously one of the most unsustainable fibers in the world, consuming enormous amounts of water and pesticides. We choose a better way: Organic Cotton.
- Sustains the Earth: It sustains the health of soils, ecosystems, and people. Its cultivation relies on ecological processes like crop rotations and inter-cropping, which promote soil biodiversity.
- Eliminates Toxins: It entirely eliminates the use of synthetic pesticides, harmful chemicals, and genetically modified (GMO) seeds.
- Benefits Farmers: The variety in organic crops provides farmers with multiple sources of income and greater resilience against low production or yield failure.
100% Linen (Flax Fiber)
Linen is one of the most durable, stylish, and biodegradable fabrics in fashion history. Made from the resilient flax plant, untreated linen is fully compostable.
- World’s Strongest Natural Fiber: Linen is far more durable than cotton. This strength contributes directly to the longevity of the garment, meaning your YesEco linen pieces are built to last.
- Natural Comfort: It is naturally moth resistant, breathable, light, and hypoallergenic.
- Naturally Sustainable: It requires very little water and pesticides to grow and thrives in diverse environments.
Hemp
In terms of sustainability, hemp is often considered the least harmful textile to the environment. This natural plant fiber from the Cannabis plant is a champion of ecological efficiency.
- Ecological Superpower: Hemp uses 75% less water than cotton and yields up to 250% more fiber per acre than cotton.
- Soil Health: Growing hemp replenishes soil nutrients, actively working to improve soil health.
- Performance & Durability: Hemp fabrics are stronger, more absorbent, more durable, and better insulating than cotton. They don’t stretch out of shape and, like linen, they soften over time while retaining their high strength.
- Fast & Clean Growth: It is a naturally organic crop that requires no herbicides or pesticides and takes only about 100 days from planting to harvest.
Organic Bamboo
Bamboo is celebrated for its natural properties and environmental advantages, making it a sustainable superstar.
- High Performance: Bamboo fabric offers high moisture absorption, is anti-microbial, and is significantly more breathable than conventional cotton.
- Low Footprint: The bamboo plant itself is environmentally friendly, and its manufacturing process produces a far smaller carbon footprint compared to many other materials.
